Managing Partner
Mike is a recognized management professional, having over 25 years conducting
business analysis and project management covering vertical market
experience in the telecommunications, utilities, health care, mining,
software and general service industries.
His professional experience began at Accenture at client engagements such as
AT&T Wireless and Pacific Bell where Mike received formal training
as a process consultant and project manager. His assignments at
Accenture covered software testing, requirements analysis, business
process design, data conversion, customer care and POS system
implementations, as well as Intranet strategy.
After his Accenture experience, Mike established his own consulting
firm located in Vancouver, BC. His professional focus evolved to
encompass Internet and wireless technologies with assignments at
notable clients such as TELUS Communications, MDSI, Terasen and
Teck Resources. He has more recently served as Infrastructure Program
Manager at Intrawest ULC where he helped lead the design and
development of the client’s new Data Centre facility, managed the
implementation of secure wireless PKI, and established Operations
process / policy improvements including patch management and change control.
Mike has also conducted studies focused on IT infrastructure energy management.
Mike received his MBA degree from the University of British Columbia and an
Economics degree from the University of Waterloo. His academic
involvement continues serving as a mentor for MBA students at UBC’s Sauder
School of Management, and has also served as a team coach / lecturer for
Simon Fraser University's Summer Web Strategy Workshops. Most recently,
Mike was a participant in the Vancouver Green Capital Trade Mission at the World Expo
in Shanghai, China led by the Vancouver Economic Development Commission
and the Vancouver Mayor’s Office.
