Mike is a recognized management professional, having over 17 years conducting
business analysis and project management covering vertical market
experience in the telecommunications, utilities, health care, mining,
software and general service industries.
His professional experience began at Accenture at client engagements such as
AT&T Wireless and Pacific Bell where Mike received formal training
as a process consultant and project manager. His assignments at
Accenture covered software testing, requirements analysis, business
process design, data conversion, customer care and POS system
implementations, as well as Intranet strategy.
After his Accenture experience, Mike established his own consulting
firm located in Vancouver, BC. His professional focus evolved to
encompass Internet and wireless technologies with assignments at
notable clients such as TELUS Communications, MDSI, Terasen and
Teck Resources. He has more recently served as Infrastructure Program
Manager at Intrawest ULC where he helped lead the design and
development of the client’s new Data Centre facility, managed the
implementation of secure wireless PKI, and established Operations
process / policy improvements including patch management and change control.
Mike has also conducted studies focused on IT infrastructure energy management.
Mike received his MBA degree from the University of British Columbia and an
Economics degree from the University of Waterloo. His academic
involvement continues serving as a mentor for MBA students at UBC’s Sauder
School of Management, and has also served as a team coach / lecturer for
Simon Fraser University's Summer Web Strategy Workshops. Most recently,
Mike was a participant in the Vancouver Green Capital Trade Mission at the World Expo
in Shanghai, China led by the Vancouver Economic Development Commission
and the Vancouver Mayor’s Office.
Jason has over 15 years business experience in diverse areas covering Financial
Services, Banking, Telecommunications and general service industries.
His business experience includes Collections and Risk Management,
PCI, Product Management, Business Analytics, Operations and Customer Care / Sales support.
Jason started his financial services experience through positions at CIBC VISA
Processing serving in the Authorizations, Lost Cards, Customer Service
and Fraud departments. He moved into CIBC branch where he gained exposure
to Consumer and Commercial banking first as a Teller, and later as Personal
Following CIBC, Jason gained further experience in the areas of Risk Management
and Compliance. He first moved to the Credit Bureau of Vancouver and
then to CBV Collection Services where Jason became a subject matter
expert in credit and collections. At both Startec Canada and Teligence
Communications, Jason managed Merchant Acquirer relationships including
Chargebacks, Risk Management and Interchange.
For the last five years, Jason has been with Sonik Consulting Group where his primary
focus is Payment Card Industry (PCI) planning and remediation. His
assignments have included serving as Project Manager / Subject Matter
Expert for Intrawest ULC, and as an Interim Revenue Assurance Manager
for a Telecommunications company, where Jason provided planning remediation
and managed Merchant Acquirer expectations.
Jason is accredited with a Certified Payment-Card Industry Security Manager
(CPISM) designation through the Society of Payment Security Professionals.
Dale is a business process professional with experience in software, ecommerce and financial systems.
He has consistently played lead roles in various business and project initiatives, applying proven methodology and
thorough attention to detail. Dale is a trained facilitator and business analyst, with a focus on requirements engineering,
BPM/BPR and change management. He received a degree in Economic Geology from the University of Zimbabwe, and
a Diploma in Business Administration from Henley Management College.
Fred is a senior information technology consultant with over 30 years experience in information management and technology consulting.
He has consulted to middle and senior management in both public and private sector industries on a wide variety of information technology
areas including IT infrastructure, database management systems, web architectures, Internet security, messaging and collaboration systems.
Fred holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science degree from The Hatfield Polytechnic.
